The Brenda MacDonald Melanoma Research Foundation was established in May 2005 by her husband, Chad MacDonald, and his three sons, Zachary, Matthew and Kyle as a result of Brenda's untimely death due to Melanoma (the deadliest form of skin cancer).

In the last 4 years, the foundation has raised nearly half a million dollars through various events and fundraisers. The money has been and will be used to increase awareness through it's association with organizations such as The Melanoma Research Foundation in addition to grants awarded to dedicated research scientists to help find a cure for Melanoma.

We thank you for visiting our site and greatly appreciate your support of this worthy cause. We encourage you to sign our guest book and share your personal story so that others may benefit from our collective experiences in dealing with this deadly disease.

          A Message from our Chairman

Dear family, friends and community members,

I would like to thank you in honor of Brenda's memory and on behalf of our three boys, Zack, Matthew and Kyle for your overwhelming and continued support.  I sincerely hope that our experience will help raise awareness of this deadly yet preventable disease.

With your help and the help of the business leaders throughout the community, we are making a difference in the fight against Melanoma. Every hour volunteered and every dollar donated to the foundation gets us one step closer to finding a cure. While extremely personal, our story is all too common so let's work together to ensure that no other family has to endure life with Melanoma.

Thank you again for your support,

Chad MacDonald
